Entry Deadline January 12
It’s your last chance to enter the 2009 David Ogilvy Awards and receive industry recognition for your research.
Named after advertising legend David Ogilvy, The ARF David Ogilvy Awards annually celebrate his spirited advocacy of research in making good advertising better. The Ogilvys champion breakthrough moments when creative inspiration and research insights combine to produce a spectacular advertising campaign. Top Ogilvy Award-winning campaigns from 2008 included Wal-Mart’s “Save Money. Live Better” and Ameriprise Financial with “Dreams Don’t Retire.” The 2009 Awards have received particular international interest and entries have been received from Ogilvy, Leo Burnett, Mindshare, Millward Brown and more.

The ARF Ogilvy Awards honor advertising research initiatives that were instrumental in developing outstanding marketing and advertising campaigns and achieved marketplace success. The criteria for the awards are based upon the application of research in four creative marketing elements: strategy development, creative development and refinement, the direction of media exposure, and demonstration of marketplace effectiveness. Gold and Silver awards are given to the best two entrants within each advertising category listed to the right, as judged by a panel of respected industry leaders. This year, we've added the Multicultural Category to recognize research contributions to the development of culturally relevant campaigns and how these efforts resonate with their intended audience, and an International Category to showcase global campaigns.
Winners of a Category Award are automatically entered to compete against each other for the following Industry Awards:
The 2009 winners will be honored at our 55th Annual ARF Convention + Expo on March 31st at the David Ogilvy Awards Gala to be held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square, New York. At this event 500 advertising executives gather for a black-tie gala to honor the winners.
