Geoffrey Precourt Geoffrey Precourt - Editor-in-Chief

Geoffrey Precourt became editor-in-chief of the Journal of Advertising Research in 2008. He also serves as U.S. editor for Warc. Geoffrey held senior editorial roles at titles including Strategy + Business, Point, Smart Business and Fortune, edited the book CMO Thought Leaders, and was co-author of Always On: Advertising, Marketing, and Media in an Era of Consumer Control (McGraw-Hill, 2008). He likes dogs and ice cream.

Douglas West Douglas West - Executive Editor

Dr. Douglas West is Executive Editor of the Journal of Advertising Research, and handles the Journal’s double-blind peer review process. Doug is Professor of International Marketing at Birkbeck College, University of London. He has published widely in the fields of advertising and marketing with particular interests in budgeting, creativity and risk management. Among others he has taught at the University of Birmingham, University of Calgary in Canada, Henley Business School, the Rotterdam School of Management, Leeds University Business School and was a visiting Professor at Cass Business School. His business experience includes market research at a subsidiary advertising agency of a leading multinational agency group and as a marketing director at an international toy company. He has acted as a marketing consultant for a variety of companies in Britain and Canada and has extensive experience of executive education.

Catherine Gardner Catherine Gardner - Managing Editor

Catherine Gardner is Managing Editor of the Journal of Advertising Research. Previously Catherine worked at the World Advertising Research Center developing publications for the IPA, UK Marketing Society, Market Research Society and Advertising Association, and produced four academic advertising journals.
